Week Four-Daily Routine

Week One
Week Two
Week Three
1. Warm-up:
  • Sing up and down the scale on solfege syllables. Try it with handsigns. (Your folder has both on the back cover.)
  • Review previous exercises from previous weeks. Choose a pitch for do, then sing the tonic-establishing pattern--  d m s f r t, d s, d . Try each exercise with 2 or 3 different tonics, establishing the new do each time
  • Sing the exercises above. Memorize.
2. Practice singing scale degrees within a key.

3. Work through the musicca.com Rhythm module. Begin the Notes module if you need a change of pace.
Use the path in Ella to work on melodic skills(which also include rhythms).

Be sure to take a moment to prep the exercise before performing .
Work at your own pace. Short sessions daily are more effective than a long slog before class. If you have questions/difficulties, I'm available to coach you. (text (253) 678-2280)

4. Try the daily challenge. If you get stuck, let me know (text (253) 678-2280) and I'll send a clue.
